Warming Up for Fireside Festival's 10th Anniversary
Kelowna’s revered Fireside Festival is back for its tenth year from January 31st to February 2nd, 2025, featuring over 25 artists, art installations, and artisan vendors.
Founded by Aaron DeSilva, Fireside Festival started as a Sunday party, in Aaron’s home in Upper Mission. Aaron was in a band called Wild Son back then, and the idea was simple: bring together all the cool local bands they could never hang out with because everyone was so busy playing gigs. The first party was a hit, so the next year, they decided to sell a few tickets. By the following year, they partnered with BNA Brewing to keep growing while still holding onto that cozy, house party feel.
Now, Fireside has grown into a three-day outdoor music and arts festival hosted at Red Bird and BNA Brewing. This year, Friday’s kick-off party lineup at Red Bird’s outdoor stage includes The Funk Hunters, Stickybuds, STUND, Mark Woodyard, and more.
On Saturday (also at Red Bird’s outdoor stage) watch WHIPPED CREAM, Haviah Mighty, DillanPonders, Ur Girl Meems, and heaps more play alongside immersive art and vendors. Sunday’s setlist, at BNA is an eclectic one with performances by Dawson Gray, NADUH, Texas Major and so much more.
Fireside Festival is providing an energetic, community-focused winter event in a city where so many businesses focus on capitalizing on the summer months. The summer in the Okanagan is the place to be, but businesses and residents need more in the winter and that is exactly what Fireside Festival is doing for us. Making the long winter shorter, proving that we have more to offer than just wine and beaches, and helping to support artists, and local businesses in the months they need it most.
Fireside Festival is back and helping to warm our souls for the tenth winter in a row. Check out the full lineup or get your hands on three-day or single-day tickets before they’re gone.
